C-10 Request for purchase order to contract with Page Keeley, Author and Professional Development Provider
Issue/Rationale
The DoDEA grant calls for the implementation of a systematic program to address student misconceptions in science. Page Keeley, author of multiple books and resources being used by the school district, will provide two days of professional development during the summer, one day geared towards elementary teachers, and the other geared towards secondary teachers.
Recommended Action
Approve request to cut purchase order as requested.
Financial Impact
No impact on general funds. This is a correction to original request that was Board Approved June 19, 2014. The cost for the first day is $2,900, the discounted rate of $1,800 for the second day with a total cost of $4,700 for both days. Page Keeley will be paid out of the Department of Defense Education at a Activity (DoDEA) Grant.
